Why I'm Running for Another Term

People have asked me why I’m running for another term as Alderwoman of the 20th Ward. The answer is simple: the work isn’t finished.
Over the past several years, we’ve worked together to bring more resources into our neighborhoods, advocate for affordable housing, support young people, strengthen community partnerships, and ensure residents have a voice in decisions that affect their lives. While we’ve made meaningful progress, there is still more to accomplish.
I believe leadership begins with listening. It means being honest, showing up, and making decisions with the community, not for the community. That has guided every decision I’ve made, and it will continue to guide the work ahead.
As we look toward the future, my focus remains clear: protecting longtime residents, expanding opportunities for families, supporting local businesses, investing in our young people, and building neighborhoods where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
I am grateful to everyone who has walked alongside me throughout this journey. I hope you’ll continue to stand with us as we build the next chapter for the 20th Ward.
Together, we can continue moving our community forward.
